Invert Robotics Wins Supreme Award

Invert Robotics has been announced as the winner of the Supreme Award in the ANZ Flying Start Business Plan Competition presented by Business.govt.nz. The company was selected from 52 regional finalists and 750 applicants.

Invert Robotics was judged to have the most sound and compelling business plan. The Judges sought a company with a viable business idea that is geared for growth and sustainable revenue, and can make a contribution to the local, national or global economy.

Winning this award comes at an exciting time for Invert – one of New Zealand’s leading start-up companies. Invert has recently emerged from 2 years of research and development to complete their first paid work. Westland Dairy contracted Invert Robotics, and their inspection partner SQA, to inspect the internal surface of a milk powder dryer. This comes after being named Best Hi-Tech Start-up at the New Zealand Hi-Tech Awards.

Invert Robotics CEO James Robertson says he is very happy with the progress of the company. “To make your first sale and win a $56,000 prize package is a great boost for the company and really validates the hours spent refining our service”.

The award includes a prize package with a value of $56,000 which consists of $30,000 cash courtesy of ANZ Bank. The remaining value of the prize is in the form of services provided by The Marketing Bureau, Stellaris, NZBusiness Magazine, Lane Neave and MYOB.
